The True Bride

The Church is the multi-ethnic Bride purchased and purified by the blood of the Lamb, betrothed exclusively to Jesus Christ, and called to wait for Him in holy devotion. She is not a denomination, a nation, a political movement, a cultural project, or an experiential movement.

Much modern confusion about the Church, the Kingdom, authority, holiness, and political entanglement arises because key words have been stretched, emptied, or redefined. This site exists to recover the meaning of those words as they stand in Scripture and in the teaching of the Apostles, in the manner Jesus Himself instructed them to read and proclaim the Word.

These eleven distinctive definitions form the foundational language of the True Bride. They describe her identity, her exclusive devotion, her relationship to authority and revelation, her posture in the already and the not yet, her inward holiness, and her freedom under the completed apostolic Word. Where these definitions are confessed and lived, the Church remains the pure Bride waiting for her Bridegroom.

Core Definitions

Defining the Language of the True Bride

Eleven terms, each defined from Scripture, traced through typology, and tested against the witness of the earliest centuries.

01

The True Bride

The Church is not an institution that possesses Christ, but a people possessed by Him, betrothed, kept, and awaiting the marriage supper.

02

Spiritual Bigamy

The attempt to belong to Christ while retaining a rival covenant loyalty is the precise sin the prophets called adultery.

03

True Apostolic Succession

Continuity with the apostles is a succession of doctrine and devotion, not merely a chain of hands.

04

Already and Not Yet

The Bride is betrothed now and married then; the Kingdom has come and is coming. Both halves must be held together.
